A teenager is fighting for life after being stabbed during a brawl on a bus.
Victoria Police have launched an investigation after two boys were involved in an altercation on a bus in Preston in Melbourne’s north on Friday afternoon.
During the brawl, one of the teenagers suffered stab wounds and injuries to his upper body.
The bus was travelling along Murray Road before the teen got off and fled on foot.
The injured boy was taken to hospital where he remains with life-threatening injuries.
Photos from the scene showed firefighters hosing blood from the sidewalk and a crime scene has been established.
It comes just over two weeks after teenager Pasawm Lyhym was fatally stabbed near Sunshine train station.
He was treated by paramedics and died at the scene with police investigating the motive for the incident.
A 17-year-old has been charged with murder after handing himself into police this week.
