Celebrities often come out to do the same thing twice; they do the sequel to a first movie and they even marry the same person twice. Maybe they just make a mistake in divorcing their spouse the first time or maybe they realize that after divorcing they’ve grown up and turned into the kind of spouse they should have been the first time. Or maybe they just like to make the same mistake twice? Who really knows? It’s not really any of our business why celebs sometimes divorce and remarry one another, but it is fun to see who has done this.

Jacki Weaver
She just earned a nomination for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, but that’s not the only notable role she’s had in her lifetime. The actress has been the wife of the same man not once, but twice. Weaver married Derryn Hinch, her ex-husband, two times. She was married to Hinch from 1983 to 1996. The couple then decided to divorce. Less than a year later in 1997, the couple remarried. They decided to divorce a year after that. Additionally, the actress has been married five times, but she’s only had four different husbands.

Dionne Warwick
She’s a mega famous singer with a beautiful voice. She’s also been married twice and divorced twice. Interestingly enough, however, she’s been married twice and divorced twice to the same man. She married William Elliott in 1966 and divorced him in May of 1967; less than a year later. Apparently her divorce was a rash decision on her part, however, because it wasn’t three months later in August of 1967 that the singer and her ex-husband remarried one another and stayed married for eight years before divorcing one another in 1975.

Robert Wagner
He’s a famous actor who was married to the love of his life for a whopping 23 years, or forever in Hollywood years. However, before he was married to Jill St. John, he was married to someone else. Or a couple of someone else’s, and not just once. Wagner married Natalie Wood in 1957, divorced her in 1962 and then married a woman by the name of Marion Marshall, to whom he was married for 8 years before divorcing her. When he divorced Marshall, he decided to remarry Natalie Wood. The couple was married from 1972 to 1981 when she passed away.

Elliott Gould
We all loved him in Ocean’s Eleven, and we loved him as the seemingly silly and hilarious Mr. Gellar (Monica and Ross’ father on FRIENDS). One of his wives loved him twice as well. He was married to Jennifer Bogart from 1973 to 1975. They divorced in 1975 and decided to remarry one another in 1978. Their second marriage to one another only lasted a year, however, and they divorced in 1979. Before that, the actor was married to a celebrity you might recognize for eight years. She goes by the name Barbra Streisand.

Melanie Griffith
She’s a working girl, working on her alleged divorce from her fourth husband, Antonio Banderas. Before their almost 2 decade marriage, however, Griffith was married to another famous face – a few times. Her first husband was Don Johnson of Miami Vice fame. She was married to him from 1976 to 1976. Their short marriage didn’t even last a year before they called it quits. She then remarried, redivorced, and decided to try a second time to be the wife of Johnson. They married in 1989 and divorced in 1996, which is when the actress decided it was time to move onto husband number four.

Paul Hogan
You recognize him from Crocodile Dundee, but did you know that he’s been married to the same woman two times? He married Noelene Edwards in 1958. The couple stayed married for more than 20 years, divorcing in 1981. He then decided to try his hand at marriage to his first wife a second time a year later. They remarried in 1982 and stayed married another 8 years until divorcing in 1990. They couple made it more than 30 years married to one another with a short break in between. Hogan is now getting divorced again.

Judge Judy
Judge Judy married the same man twice. She gets onto people in the courtroom for their personal drama and silly decisions, yet she made the mistake of divorcing her husband before she decided that it would be better all around to just remarry the guy. She and her husband Judge Jerry Sheindlin married in 1977 and divorced in 1990. The couple decided to remarry in 1991 and have been married ever since. It seems that their divorce was an obvious mistake considering it only lasted a year before the couple remarried and managed to stay that way for the past two decades.

Jean-Claude Van Damme
He’s a famous actor who stars in a load of martial-arts type movies, but he’s also been around the block twice with one wife. As a matter of fact, he’s been married five times. You could say he’s only been married four times if you don’t count his second marriage to his third wife (she’s also his fifth wife). Van Damme married Glady Portugues in 1987 and was married to her until 1992. After their divorce, he remarried another woman and eventually divorced her. In 1999 he remarried Portugues and the couple has been married ever since.

He’s a famous funny man and talk show host with a bevy of marriages behind him. The famous talk show host has been married a staggering 8, yes 8, times. One of his wives, however, was his wife twice. The comedian married Arlene Akins in 1961. He then divorced her two years later in 1963. Fast forward four years and he remarried her in 1967. He divorced her five years later in 1972. Since then, he’s been married a few more times, but she’s the only woman to capture his heart not once, but twice.

Marie Osmond
She’s many things, and a divorced and remarried woman is one of them. It’s not uncommon for many women to be second wives or to have second husbands, but it is a bit more uncommon for one man and one woman to be each other’s first and second spouse. Her story is a bit different, however. Marie Osmond was married to her first husband from 1982 to 1985 and she divorced him. In between, she married another guy and stayed married to him for 21 years. After divorcing husband number two, she remarried her third husband in 2011, who also happens to be her first husband.

She’s one of the most famous Real Housewives of Atlanta, and it’s all for a good reason. She’s loud, abrasive, honest and she’s not afraid of, well, anything. She was married to her real estate investor husband in 1997 and stayed married for a long time. The couple decided to divorce in September of 2011 only to decide that was a big mistake. They eventually remarried (and filmed it for her reality show) in 2013. At the moment, they’re still married for the second time and neither one was married to anyone else in between their first and second marriages to one another.

The famous Baywatch beauty has been married a few times, but most of them to the same men. She was married to her current soon-to-be ex-husband Rick Salomon of the Paris Hilton scandal in 2007. The couple was married for a staggering 2 months at the time. They filed for divorce and went their separate ways more than once. However, the couple decided to get remarried in 2014 only to decide they want to be divorced yet again. After their second divorce announcement, though, the couple was spotted kissing and holding hands, so who knows what’s up with them.

He’s a famous punk rocker and she’s a former beauty queen. Travis Barker married Shanna Moakler in many years ago and divorced in 2008. The couple spent months bashing one another in the press – and in front of their children – before reconciling for a second time. Barker was in a horrible plane crash, which he survived, and he and Moakler got back together after that. Apparently, the novelty of him still being alive and well wore off for the couple because it was less than a year after that they decided to split for a second time.

Liz Taylor and Richard Burton made a spectacle of themselves. She’s known for getting married like it’s a job and he’s known for being two of her many husbands. The couple met on a movie set. He cheated on his first wife with Taylor and Taylor cheated on her fourth husband with Burton. The couple left their spouses and decided to get married. They were married in 1964 and they divorced 10 years later in 1974. They then decided to get married again the same year they divorced. Then they divorced again that year. It was a busy year for both.

He gets the gold medal for most marriages to the same woman twice. Not only was he married to his first wife two times, he was also married to his second wife two times. In 1981, Pryor married Jennifer Lee. The couple’s marriage lasted only a year, and they divorced in 1982. He the married Flynn Belaine in 1986 and divorced in 1987; he remarried Belaine in 1990. They were married only a year the second time before divorcing. He then remarried his first wife, Jennifer Lee, in 2001 and stayed married until the actor died in 2005.
